LOVE/BEVERAGES (A Poem)

Wrote this poetry with my friends during an interactive session. The theme was love and we chose to write on the sub-theme 'Beverages'. We had a nice time.

When I was a high school student, 

I was studying for the entrance exam. 

Then my mother gave me a cup of hot beverage.

It made me and my heart warm. 

I felt love from my mother with it. 

I found that hot beverages with love warm-up not only my body but also my heart.

 

To have Hot Milk with Faithful Person

To have hot milk with a faithful person is heartful.

I would be warm

I would be relieved

I would feel happiness          

 

Beverages have superpower

It can make us happy

If someone feels sad, you need to give him/her beverages

The person will be happy with your kindness

The person will feel the love from the beverage you give

Let’s tell someone that we love them with beverages

Love that can be conveyed with giving beverages

 

Tea prepared by my friend on December evenings,

cold water in the bottle for September noon

a badly prepared strawberry shake at a local restaurant, 

with the right person..

sometimes warm, sometimes cold,

but always right always enough

 

But on days, when there are no clouds decorating the sky,

Blazing heat permeates from above,

Scorching rays of the sun penetrate my skin

My mouth feels dry and my breath is ragged

My mind is blank, my legs are heavy

Every step brings excruciating pain,

A shimmer of hope, glistening in the distance,

An oasis keeps my weary body barely upright,

Water, the love of my life, the hope of my existence!

The drama I go through every morning after waking up
